Child Killed By Houthi Sniper Fire While Returning From School In Taiz

The child, Ibrahim Jalal Amin, was killed by gunfire from Houthi elements in the city of Taiz (southwest Yemen) on Sunday while returning home from school.

Local sources said that a sniper affiliated with the armed Houthi group, positioned on Al-Hareer Hill northeast of the city, targeted the child Ibrahim Jalal in Al-Safaa neighborhood as he was returning from school. He was shot with a bullet that struck his heart, leading to his immediate death.

Residents in the besieged city of Taiz, which is under blockade by the Houthi group, are frequently subjected to shelling and sniper attacks, resulting in civilian casualties, most of whom are women and children.
