Al-Khanbashi Directs Settlement of Military Medical Sector Debt and Supplying Camp Clinics with Solar Energy

On Thursday, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi , Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, discussed the needs of the military medical sector in the military hospital and the camps affiliated with the Second Military Region, foremost of which are medicines and medical supplies.

This came during his meeting with Dr. Hussein Ashour Abdoun, Deputy Head of the Medical Division in the Second Military Region, in the presence of Hassan Al-Jilani, Undersecretary of Hadramawt Governorate, according to a statement by the governorate’s media office.

The meeting reviewed the current level of medicinal needs and the challenges associated with providing medicines on a regular basis. Additionally, they discussed the previous indebtedness to hospitals and pharmaceutical agencies, and possible mechanisms to resolve it in a way that ensures the continuous provision of medical services to personnel.

The meeting also touched upon the importance of enhancing medical clinics in the camps with solar energy systems, contributing to the stability of health services, the continuous operation of medical equipment, and the preservation of medicines, especially in light of frequent power outages.

Al-Khanbashi emphasized the local authority leadership’s keenness to support the military medical sector and address the challenges it faces, considering it one of the fundamental pillars for maintaining the health of armed forces personnel and raising their level of readiness.

He stressed the importance of coordination with the competent authorities to develop practical and sustainable solutions that meet the urgent needs of the military medical sector and keep pace with its future requirements.
