Defense Minister: Work Is Underway To Radically Resolve All Issues Regarding The Wounded File

The Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Tahir Al-Aqili, held an expanded meeting today, Sunday, with the Military Medical Committee in the presence of several wounded members of the armed forces. This comes as part of his continuous field follow-up on the conditions of the heroes and to assess their medical and living needs.
During the meeting, Lt. Gen. Al-Aqili praised the immense sacrifices made by the wounded members of the armed forces in the fields of honor and heroism, emphasizing that the ministry’s leadership places the resolution of their issues at the top of its military and humanitarian priorities.
The Minister of Defense noted that procedures and reforms are currently underway aimed at improving the conditions of the wounded and providing for their needs.
In the presence of the Assistant Minister for Human Resources, Major General Muhammad Batis, and the Head of the Logistics Support Body, Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, the Minister of Defense listened to a detailed explanation from the head of the Medical Committee, Brigadier General Abdulalim Hassan, regarding the progress of the committee’s work and the difficulties facing the quality of treatment services.
Lt. Gen. Al-Aqili also listened to interventions from several wounded soldiers who conveyed the suffering and needs of their colleagues, highlighting a number of urgent issues—foremost of which are delays in the payment of entitlements and the difficulty of sending certain cases abroad for treatment
