Targeting 11,000 Families: Saudi Relief Aid Arrives in Shabwa Governorate

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center began, on Monday, the second phase of the emergency food assistance project in Shabwa Governorate, in coordination with the local authority and implemented by the Al-Khair Coalition for Relief.

The project aims to distribute 11,160 food baskets, benefiting approximately 66,000 individuals among displaced persons and the most vulnerable groups in several districts of the governorate, contributing to enhancing food security and alleviating harsh living conditions.

The Deputy Governor of Shabwa, Ahmed Al-Daghari, praised the efforts of the King Salman Relief Center and its fraternal and humanitarian support for the governorate, noting the importance of the project in meeting the needs of displaced persons and the most vulnerable groups and alleviating their suffering amid the current economic circumstances.

He reaffirmed the local authority’s commitment to facilitating the implementation of humanitarian projects and strengthening partnership with relief organizations to ensure that aid reaches its beneficiaries across the various districts of the governorate.
