Civil Status Employee Dismissed After Involvement in Forgery of Personal Data

The Civil Status and Registry Authority of the Yemeni Ministry of Interior announced today, Monday, the dismissal of an employee involved in a forgery case at the branch in Al-Khawkha city, Hudaidah Governorate (Western Yemen).
According to the official website of the Civil Status Authority, the leadership of the authority issued an administrative decision to dismiss a technician working at the Al-Khawkha branch and refer him to the Public Funds Prosecution following a number of violations.
The authority explained that the employee was involved in a forgery incident related to placing his own ten-fingerprints instead of a citizen’s during the issuance of a Smart National ID card, in addition to committing several other violations while performing his official duties.
The Civil Status Authority indicated that the investigation and audit procedures have been completed, revealing that the employee performed procedures contrary to the systems and regulations approved by the authority’s leadership.
The authority emphasized that it deals strictly with any violations affecting the integrity of official data and documents, stressing its continued commitment to applying the law and taking necessary measures against anyone proven to have bypassed the systems.
