The Minister of Transport, Mohsen Al-Amri, affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to implementing current laws and regulations, extending state sovereignty and the rule of law across all border crossings and ports, and addressing existing imbalances.

This statement was made during an expanded meeting he chaired today in the temporary capital, Aden. The meeting included leadership from the Ministry, its various sectors, bodies, and affiliated institutions to discuss current priorities and enhance institutional performance across different transport sectors.

Minister Al-Amri explained that the activities of the Ministry and its various institutions are directly linked to the lives and interests of citizens, which necessitates redoubling efforts and improving service levels within the available resources.

He stressed the need to work in accordance with the government’s program, which is based on consolidating stability, achieving economic and financial recovery, and ensuring the sustainability of essential services, in addition to strengthening institutional governance, digital transformation, and activating partnerships with the international community.

Al-Amri stressed the need to finalize the Ministry’s general action plan according to the specific procedural matrix for each sector and authority, thereby enhancing coordination and institutional effectiveness.

The Minister reaffirmed the importance of integrated roles between the Ministry’s various sectors and the proposal of developmental initiatives that contribute to modernizing the transport system. This, he noted, would strengthen the presence of the state and elevate the standard of services provided to citizens.
