In the temporary capital, Aden, Major General Staff Fallah al-Shahrani, Advisor to the Commander of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, received several sheikhs and social figures from the Radfan districts of Lahj Governorate. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the general conditions and priority needs of the region.
The discussions focused on supporting the Radfan districts with a package of development and service projects. These are to be funded by Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), aimed at improving local services and enhancing stability.
Major General al-Shahrani praised the community role played by the sheikhs and notables of Radfan in serving their areas, strengthening social cohesion, and maintaining security. He emphasized the Coalition leadership’s commitment to listening to citizens’ needs and working to meet them within available resources.
He further noted that Saudi Arabia’s strategy in the coming phase will focus on supporting the development path in southern regions liberated from the Houthis, improving basic services to bolster stability and support recovery efforts.
