The Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah Party) in Hadramawt Governorate reaffirmed on Wednesday its commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at consolidating the rule of law and enhancing stability in the province. The party praised the role of the Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Al-Khanbashi, in managing the current phase through an institutional and responsible approach.
In a statement issued on January 7, 2026, Hadramout’s Islah branch stated that efforts to unify military and security forces within the state’s official framework represent a decisive step toward confronting the Houthi rebellion and protecting the social fabric of both the governorate and Yemen at large.
The statement expressed appreciation for the fraternal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in supporting the security and stability of Hadramawt and Yemen. It highlighted the Kingdom’s effective contribution to supporting state institutions and maintaining stability.
Furthermore, Islah Hadramawt welcomed the call made by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, for the Kingdom to sponsor the “Southern Dialogue Conference.” The party considered this step to be in line with the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue and agreed-upon references, serving as a path toward achieving a national consensus that reinforces the legitimate rights of the people of the South and supports the country’s stability.
The party also valued the vital role played by the Nation’s Shield Forces, the Hadrami Elite, and the legitimate official military and security institutions in the governorate. It concluded by emphasizing that the national priority lies in restoring state institutions, consolidating stability, and unifying national efforts to achieve the country’s security and development.
