Washington Reaffirms Support for Comprehensive Reforms in Yemen and Building a Stable State with Effective Institutions

On Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Shaya’ al-Zindani, discussed with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, the latest developments in Yemen and prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing joint coordination regarding current developments, to contribute to supporting efforts to achieve security and stability and reinforce the political track in Yemen.

For his part, the U.S. Ambassador reiterated his country’s continued support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government, and their efforts aimed at achieving comprehensive and sustainable peace, and promoting political and economic stability in the country.

The Ambassador affirmed the U.S.s’ commitment to supporting the reform track, to help meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security and development, improve living conditions, and build state institutions on effective and stable foundations.
