Three Aircraft Land at Sana’a Airport Amid Reports of “Eternity Sea” Crew Transfer

Yemen Monitor / Sana’a / Exclusive:

Sana’a International Airport witnessed the landing and takeoff of three medium-sized aircraft today, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, amid reports of a transfer of the crew from the vessel, the “Eternity Sea,” which was sunk by the Houthi group months ago.

In an exclusive statement to “Yemen Monitor,” well-informed sources said that one of the aircraft transported several members of the Eternity Sea crew, who have been held captive by the Houthi group for five months. The sources described this move as raising questions about the possibility of a new “ransom deal” between the Houthis and international parties.

According to the sources, the United Nations is connected to the aircraft, which are either owned or chartered by the organization. They noted that the other two planes may have transported UN officials or Houthi leaders, as such movements are typically not disclosed.

The sources stated that the timing of the landings and takeoffs was as follows:

  • First Aircraft: 10:45 to 11:40
  • Second Aircraft: 12:10 to 12:50
  • Third Aircraft: 13:46 to 14:18

The United Nations has not yet issued any clarification regarding the nature of the flights or the identities of those transported on board.

The Liberian-flagged vessel, the Eternity Sea, was targeted by Houthi-operated drones and rocket-propelled grenades fired from small boats on the afternoon of July 7, 2025. The ship was subjected to a second attack on the night of July 8, 2025, which ultimately led to the sinking of the vessel and forced the crew to abandon ship.
