Hadramawt Tribal Alliance Renews Support for the State and Condemns Houthi Attacks in the Red Sea

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Hadramawt Tribal Alliance announced on Sunday its full readiness to support the Yemeni Armed Forces and participate in the battle to restore state institutions and end the Houthi group’s coup, reaffirming its support for the state in confronting what it described as the “Iranian-backed Houthi project.”

In a statement, the alliance renewed its commitment to defending Yemen’s national principles and expressed its readiness to mobilize all available human and material resources, alongside the tribes of Hadramawt, in support of the Armed Forces until state authority is restored across the entire national territory.

The statement also called on all Yemeni political groups and tribal communities to unite behind the state’s institutions and the Armed Forces in order to end the Houthi coup and restore state institutions.

In a related context, Hadramawt Tribal Alliance condemned the Houthi group’s attacks on Saudi commercial vessels in the Red Sea, describing them as an escalation that demonstrates the group’s determination to undermine regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation.

The alliance added that these attacks drag Yemen into futile conflicts that do not serve the interests of the Yemeni people. It reaffirmed its support for the state’s institutions and the Armed Forces until security and stability are restored throughout the country.

The statement concluded by urging all national forces to unite their ranks and strengthen the internal front in order to accelerate the restoration of the state and bring an end to the coup.
