Houthi Shelling Targets Judicial Complex in Central Taiz Without Casualties Reported

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

The Houthi group targeted on Saturday evening the Judicial Complex in the Jabal Jarah neighborhood in central Taiz city, southwestern Yemen, with mortar shells fired from its positions north of the city, without reporting human casualties, according to local sources.

The official Yemeni News Agency quoted sources saying that the shelling struck the Judicial Complex building, noting that no injuries occurred among civilians or workers at the site.

The targeting comes amid ongoing security tensions in Taiz Governorate, where the parties exchange accusations regarding violations and military escalation around the city, which has witnessed a fragile humanitarian and security situation for years.

The Judicial Complex building in Jabal Jarah is considered one of the sites with military and historical symbolism in Taiz, as it was a prominent defense point during the 2015 battles and witnessed fierce clashes that resulted in deaths and injuries on both sides.
