Hadhramaut: Al-Hamoom Tribes Reaffirm Support for Sheikh Amr bin Habrish, Disavow Faraj Al-Bahsani

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Al-Hamoom tribes issued an official statement on Tuesday affirming their unwavering support for Sheikh Amr bin Habrish Al-Aliei Al-Hamoomi, praising his symbolic status and national role among the tribe’s members and within their broader community.

The statement firmly rejected any campaigns targeting his leadership or well-known national stances, stressing the importance of preserving the unity and dignity of the tribe in the face of internal and external pressures.

The tribesmen also declared a full disavowal of Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, stating that he does not represent the tribe nor reflect its political or social orientations.

The statement noted that his recent activities serve external agendas—an approach the tribe “completely rejects”—and described his positions as disconnected from the will and history of the Al-Hamoom.

The tribes emphasized that they remain united in confronting any attempts to undermine the social fabric of Hadhramaut or infringe upon the free will of its people.

The statement also called on all Hadhrami tribes to unify their stance to safeguard the province’s cohesion and prevent any internal or external interference aimed at destabilizing the region or undermining local decision-making.
