Raid on a Merchant’s House and Abduction to an Unknown Location in Sana’a

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
A security force belonging to the Houthi group, accompanied by armed female personnel, raided a house this morning in the middle of the capital, Sana’a.
Yemeni journalist Fares Al-Hemyari stated that the force surrounded the house belonging to merchant Ammar Al-Hashidi before taking him into a security vehicle and transporting him to an unknown location, without disclosing the reasons for the raid or the circumstances of the arrest so far.
In a related context, the Houthi group has refused to release Dr. Hammoud Al-Oudi and Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Olfi unless “commercial guarantees” are provided in person, following the failure of all mediations to secure their release, according to journalist Al-Hemyari.
The Houthi-affiliated Security and Intelligence Service arrested Al-Oudi and Al-Olfi on November 10 of this month.
