Representatives of Wounded Soldiers Arrive in Aden to Present Their Demands to the Presidential Council and Government

A number of wounded soldiers from the Yemeni army have arrived in Aden to meet with the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, and to present the demands raised by the wounded, while sit-ins continue in Marib and Taiz.

Ahmed Saif Al-Rammal, head of the National Association for the Wounded and Disabled, told Yemen Monitor that the trip to Aden came after coordination with the official delegation that visited the wounded soldiers’ sit-in in Marib.

He explained that the delegation of wounded soldiers arrived in Aden and is awaiting the scheduling of a meeting to present their demands to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Prime Minister Salem bin Buriek.

Dozens of wounded soldiers in Taiz and Marib have been holding sit-ins for about a month, demanding the resolution of their cases, completion of treatment for critical cases, and payment of overdue salaries.
