Presidential Decrees Appoint New Leadership for the State Security Apparatus and a Deputy Minister of Information

The Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued new decrees that include appointments within the Central State Security Apparatus and the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism.

Presidential Leadership Council Decree No. (284) of 2025 appointed Major General Mohammed Maslih Humaid Eidhah as head of the Central State Security Apparatus.

Decree No. (285) of 2025 was also issued, appointing Brigadier General Faisal Badr Mohammed Bajri as Deputy President of the agency, along with promoting him to the rank of Major General.

These decisions were issued based on the constitution, the Armed Forces Service Law, the references of the transitional phase, and after the approval of the Presidential Leadership Council.

The final articles of the decrees stipulated their enforcement from the date of issuance and their publication in the official gazette.

In the same context, Republican Decree No. (29) of 2025 was issued, appointing Salah Abdullah Ahmed Al-Aqel as Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, in accordance with the constitution, the law, and based on the approval of the Presidential Leadership Council.

The decree confirmed its enforcement starting from the date of issuance, with publication in the official gazette.
