Putin Appoints Yevgeny Kudrov as Russia’s Ambassador to Yemen

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday issued a presidential decree appointing Dr. Yevgeny Kudrov as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Yemen.
In an official statement, the Russian Embassy said: “In accordance with Presidential Decree No. (695) dated October 1, 2025, Dr. Yevgeny Kudrov has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Yemen.”
The statement affirmed that the decision reflects the Russian leadership’s keenness to strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation with the Republic of Yemen, noting that Kudrov’s appointment represents an important step toward consolidating the historical ties between the two countries and serving the interests of both the Yemeni and Russian peoples.
