Taiz Governor Orders Evacuation of Citizens’ Homes from Control of Military and Security Personnel

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Today, Wednesday, the Governor of Taiz Governorate, Nabil Shamsan, directed the leadership of the military axis and security agencies to quickly evacuate the remaining homes of citizens that are still under the illegal control of military and security personnel.
In his directives to the Axis Commander, the Governor-General of the Governorate Police, and the Advisor to the Axis Commander (who is also the head of the tasked committee), the Governor emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of the evacuations. He stressed that the continued non-consensual occupation of these homes is considered a violation of citizens’ rights.
These directives are a continuation of a previous memo issued by the Governor on September 28, 2025, concerning the evacuation of public and private buildings and facilities. The new instructions also included citizens’ homes located on front lines.
The directives also mandated the concerned parties to quickly finalize lease agreements with the owners of residential buildings in conflict areas, in implementation of the instructions of the head of the Presidential Leadership Council.
The Governor stressed the urgent need to immediately begin the procedures, identify the homes covered by the decisions, and submit a report on the results to the local authority within one week from the date of the directive.
