A New Inspection Campaign Has Been Launched In Taiz To Enforce The New Price List

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
Seven committees from the Industry and Trade Office in Taiz governorate began a field campaign this Saturday morning to inspect markets and apprehend violators of the newly announced price list. The campaign is supported logistically by the Consumer Protection Association and has a security presence from the police.
A Yemen Monitor correspondent quoted a source from the Industry Office as saying the campaign aims to ensure compliance with the new pricing and take legal action against violators. The goal is to stabilize prices and protect citizens from random fines.
The source noted that the Consumer Protection Association provided transportation for the inspection committees to facilitate their movement between different areas, a move that reflects institutional cooperation to enhance market oversight.
The campaign coincides with increasing citizen complaints about the high prices of essential goods, with local authorities relying on these committees to help regulate markets and enforce commercial discipline.
