China has reiterated its continuous support for Yemen, expressing readiness to provide more humanitarian and development assistance and contribute actively to the recovery and reconstruction process. This comes as part of its ongoing support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government.
This reaffirmation took place during a meeting held on Sunday between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Shaea Mohsen Al–Zindani, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Yemen, Mr. Zhao Cheng. During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and open new avenues for cooperation between the two friendly countries.
According to the official Yemeni News Agency, both sides discussed several issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and consultation to serve shared interests.
Minister Al-Zindani affirmed the Yemeni government’s commitment to developing relations with the People’s Republic of China, appreciating China’s supportive stances toward Yemen, particularly concerning its backing of peace and stability efforts.
For his part, the Chinese Chargé d’Affaires expressed his country’s appreciation for the deep historical relations between the two nations, confirming Beijing’s continued political, humanitarian, and development support for Yemen through various stages.
