Houthis: Israel-Iran Ceasefire Agreement Does Not Include Us
Yemen Monitor / Sana’a / Exclusive:
A senior political official and spokesperson for Yemen’s Houthi militants stated that the group is not bound by the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran.
Mohammed al-Bukhaiti told The Wall Street Journal that military operations against Israel will continue “until the aggression on Gaza stops and the blockade is lifted.”
The Houthis, allies of Iran, have remained on the sidelines of the war Israel launched against Iran earlier this month, though they did fire some missiles at Israel.
Trump administration halted a two-month bombing campaign against the Houthis in May, stating that the group had agreed to suspend its attacks on naval vessels in the Red Sea—an offensive it launched in response to the Israeli war on Gaza.
