Security authorities in Shabwah Governorate, eastern Yemen, have announced the arrival of two boats carrying hundreds of undocumented(illegal) Ethiopian migrants to the coast of Kida in Radhum District.
According to a statement issued by Shabwah Police, the first boat was carrying 110 men and 40 women, while the second boat carried 150 men and 50 women—all of Ethiopian nationality.
Local authorities confirmed that, in coordination with relevant agencies, they have begun taking the necessary legal and humanitarian measures to deal with the migrants, amid a growing influx of illegal migration along Yemen’s coasts.
