United Nations Reveals Shocking Hunger Statistics in Yemen

Yemen Monitor – Newsroom:

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has issued an urgent warning about the worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen, with recent data pointing to an unprecedented escalation of the food crisis.

Reports indicate that nearly half of Yemen’s population is suffering from food insecurity, with around 50% of citizens unable to meet even their most basic daily food needs.

The UN program emphasized that continued international support has been the key factor preventing a total collapse of the country’s food system in recent years. However, a current lack of funding threatens to trigger a major humanitarian catastrophe in the near future.

The international organization warned that millions of Yemenis may face an uncertain fate due to the severe shortage of financial resources required to sustain aid programs—calling for urgent intervention from the global community.
