Applications Open for Fulbright Program for Yemenis to Study at U.S. Universities

The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has announced the reopening of applications for the 2026 Fulbright Foreign Student Program, a prestigious opportunity that allows Yemenis to pursue graduate studies or conduct research at universities in the US.

Program benefits include full tuition coverage, a monthly stipend for living expenses, comprehensive health insurance, and opportunities for cultural exchange and professional development.

According to the embassy’s announcement, applicants must:

Be Yemeni citizens residing in Yemen throughout the application and selection process.

Hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.

Have at least two years of professional experience.

Be proficient in English (a TOEFL iBT score of 80 or higher is preferred).

Not have resided in the US for five consecutive years during the six years prior to the application date.

Application deadline: June 30, 2025
