Yemeni President Begins Official Visit to Russia to Meet Putin

The Head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, begins an official visit to the Russian Federation today, Tuesday, in response to an invitation extended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to a senior official at the Office of the Presidency, as reported by the Yemeni News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and coordinate positions on shared concerns—particularly recent developments in the Yemeni file, peace efforts, and the enhancement of regional and international security.
The official stated that the scheduled talks between Al-Alimi and Putin will also cover ways to integrate international efforts to restore stability in Yemen, as well as discuss cooperation in economic and cultural fields.
The visit agenda also includes meetings with Russian government officials, representatives of political and diplomatic institutions, and dialogues with intellectual and academic figures interested in Yemeni affairs and its cultural and historical heritage.
