UN Warns of Increasing Risks to Displaced Persons Sites in Yemen

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The United Nations has warned that 40% of displacement sites in Yemen are exposed to increasing risks.
The UNHCR indicated that these sites are threatened by fires and floods.
The commission explained that it is working to provide displaced families in Marib governorate with the necessary skills and knowledge for fire prevention and response.
This initiative aims to save lives in the most vulnerable communities, especially in Marib, which hosts the largest concentration of displaced people in the country.
Displacement camps in Yemen, particularly in Marib, have previously experienced fire and flood incidents that resulted in casualties.
UN reports indicate that the ongoing war in Yemen has led to the displacement of nearly 4.8 million people.
