Sana’a International Airport Resumes Flights After Ten-Day Suspension

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

Sana’a International Airport today, Saturday, received the first flight of Yemenia Airways arriving from Jordan, after a ten-day suspension due to the Israeli bombing that targeted the airport and caused the complete destruction of all its facilities.

The Airbus 320 aircraft returned to Sana’a Airport from Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan, carrying 138 passengers, while the aircraft departed the airport towards Amman with 144 passengers on board.

The director of the airport, which is under the control of the Houthis, Khaled Al-Shayef, affirmed the readiness of the airport’s technical staff to work with high efficiency, and that all operating systems are functioning according to internationally approved safety and security standards.

It is worth noting that Yemenia Airways had announced the resumption of its direct flights between Sana’a and Amman after the completion of the necessary maintenance work and obtaining the required operating permits.
