Yemenia Airways Receives New Aircraft to Strengthen Its Fleet

Yemen Monitor | Newsroom:
Yemen Airways has announced the acquisition of a new A320 aircraft, which will join its fleet by the end of May.
According to the official Yemeni news agency, the Chairman of the Board, Nasser Mahmoud, signed a contract in recent months to purchase an A320 aircraft. The aircraft is expected to be added to the company’s fleet — currently consisting of three planes — by late May.
Mohsen Haidara, Deputy General Manager for Commercial Affairs, stated that this move is intended to ease the pressure on flight operations and improve services for passengers, particularly in light of the challenges the company faces after three of its aircraft were completely destroyed in airstrikes targeting Sana’a International Airport.
Haidara also noted that the airline has begun operating Hajj pilgrimage flights, transporting approximately 6,255 pilgrims on 47 scheduled flights and 11 additional flights from the airports of Aden, Hadhramaut, and Al-Mahrah.
This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance its services and improve the travel experience for passengers.
