Minister of Endowments Announces Start of Yemeni Pilgrims’ Departure Next Week

The Minister of Endowments and Guidance in the Yemeni government, Head of the Yemeni Pilgrims Affairs Office, Mohammed Shabiba, announced that the process of transporting Yemeni pilgrims for the Hajj season of 1446 AH will begin next Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Minister Shabiba clarified in a statement to the official Yemeni News Agency that the first group of pilgrims will depart by air from Aden International Airport on board Yemenia Airways, while the transportation of pilgrims by land will begin on May 16th (18th of Dhu al-Qadah) according to a specific schedule.

He affirmed that all logistical arrangements and coordination with relevant authorities have been completed, including transportation and travel arrangements, to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims to the Holy Lands.

Regarding health procedures, he indicated that pilgrims will receive the required vaccinations at the entry points, urging them to adhere to the health and administrative instructions issued by the Yemeni Ministry of Endowments and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to facilitate the performance of rituals.

He also praised the efforts made by the Saudi authorities to provide the necessary facilities for Yemeni pilgrims, especially at the Al-Wade’a border crossing, where additional lanes have been allocated to expedite their entry procedures.
