Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

On Monday, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, emphasized the importance of ensuring the regular supply of domestic gas and providing it to citizens in a stable and equitable manner across various districts of the eastern Yemeni governorate.

This came during a meeting he held in the city of Al-Mukalla, in the presence of the Deputy Governor, Hassan Salem Al-Jilani, and the Director General of the Gas Company in Hadramawt, Ezziddin Al-Kasadi, according to the local authority’s media office.

According to the source, the meeting discussed the current supply status of domestic gas and its distribution mechanisms, as well as the challenges facing its delivery to the governorate’s various districts.

Al-Khanbashi stressed the need to address any imbalances or negative practices that might affect the gas distribution process, and to intensify oversight of filling stations and sales outlets to ensure that the material reaches citizens regularly.

He also directed the competent authorities to continue coordination with the Gas Company office and to develop practical and sustainable solutions to improve supply performance, given the economic and living conditions facing the country.

The source indicated that these directives come as part of efforts aimed at enhancing the stability of basic services, meeting the needs of citizens, and maintaining the stability of the local market.
