STC Spokesman Criticizes Saudi Arabia Over Renewed Closure of Council Offices in Aden

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The official spokesman of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) criticized Saudi Arabia on Sunday while commenting on the renewed closure of the council’s offices in Aden.
Anwar Al-Tamimi, the STC spokesman based in Abu Dhabi, described the re-closure of the council’s headquarters and the office of its president, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, in the temporary capital of Aden as a “dangerous escalation and an unacceptable provocation.” He accused what he called the “forces of the Saudi tutelage authorities” of carrying out the closures.
Al-Tamimi called for public mobilization and demonstrations to express opposition to the closure of the offices, stressing the council’s rejection of any measures targeting its main or branch offices.
STC offices in Aden had previously been closed by local authorities. However, a public gathering held in early April succeeded in reopening several of the offices after demonstrators assembled outside a number of STC premises.
