The Houthi military spokesman announced late Friday three scenarios in which the group’s forces would intervene directly in support of Iran.
In a televised statement, the spokesman said: “We affirm that our hands are on the trigger for direct military intervention.”
He specified three scenarios: any other alliances joining the US and Israel against Iran and the axis of resistance; the use of the Red Sea by the US and Israel to carry out hostile operations against Iran or any Muslim country—”we will not allow that”; or the continued escalation against Iran and the axis of resistance, in accordance with what the military theater requires.
The Houthi group demanded five conditions: an end to US and Israeli military operations targeting Iran and axis countries; an end to the economic and military restrictions imposed on areas under the group’s control; implementation of the Gaza agreement; a halt to escalation against Iran; and a warning against any economic measures targeting the areas under their control.
The statement concluded by affirming that “hands are on the trigger” and that forces are at full readiness for direct intervention if these conditions are not met.
