The toll of attacks carried out by Iran against Gulf countries has reached more than 3,700 missiles and drones since the start of the American-Israeli war on Iran on February 28. The UAE topped the list of the six countries.
The UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Oman have all been subjected to Iranian attacks, causing human and material losses throughout the duration of the war, amid continued military escalation between the two sides.
According to data published by the UAE Ministry of Defense, its air defenses have successfully dealt with 294 ballistic missiles and 15 cruise missiles, in addition to 1,600 drones since the outbreak of the war.
On Sunday, it announced that it was subjected to an attack by Iranian missiles and drones following Iranian threats demanding the evacuation of three main ports, which Tehran accused of being used by American forces to launch strikes against the “Kharg” oil island.
According to Abu Dhabi’s latest statistics, human losses reached 6 people of Emirati, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities, and 142 cases of minor and moderate injuries.
In Bahrain, the Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 125 missiles and 211 drones since the start of the confrontations. Regarding human losses, the Ministry of Health previously announced that an Iranian drone strike that hit Sitra Island near the capital, Manama, resulted in the death of a woman and the injury of 32 people, including 4 minors—one of whom is a two-month-old baby—with 4 people seriously injured. The Bahraini Ministry of Interior also announced last Thursday that the Iranian aggression targeted fuel tanks at a facility in Muharraq Governorate.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was subjected to new drone attacks at dawn on Sunday. Although no final toll has been issued so far, official data indicates the detection of more than 25 missiles and 266 drones that targeted the country, the most recent of which was the interception of 64 drones and a ballistic missile last Friday targeting Al-Kharj Governorate, with daily attacks concentrated on oil facilities in the Empty Quarter region.
In Kuwait, the National Guard announced the shooting down of 5 drones during the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total targeting the country—according to Anadolu Agency statistics—to 254 missiles and 489 drones, including attacks that hit the Kuwait International Airport radar and the Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base.
In the same context, Qatar continued to intercept Iranian attacks, as the Qatari Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday evening the interception of 4 ballistic missiles and several drones, as part of a series of attacks that Anadolu Agency recorded as reaching 170 missile attacks and 78 drone attacks since the beginning of the crisis.
Although the Sultanate of Oman recorded the lowest targeting rate, it was not free of human and material losses. A drone that fell in the Al-Auhi industrial area in the Wilayat of Sohar last Friday led to the death of two people and the injury of others, coinciding with other attacks that targeted the airspace of the Wilayat of Khasab, Dhofar Governorate, and the Duqm commercial port.
