IOM: 402 Yemeni Families Displaced Within 24 Days

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has announced the displacement of 402 Yemeni families, totaling approximately 2,412 individuals, from the beginning of January until the 24th of the month.
This surge in displacement waves follows the recording of more than 13,000 displaced persons during the last quarter of the previous year.
The organization noted that the most recent week saw the displacement of an additional 58 families:
- 40 families settled in Marib Governorate, arriving from Hadramout and Hodaidah.
- 15 families moved to Hadramawt, mostly originating from Marib.
- 2 cases of internal displacement were recorded in Taiz Governorate.
These figures highlight the continued deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen, as hundreds of families migrate between governorates in search of safety. Many faces dire living conditions after being subjected to forced displacement multiple times in recent weeks.
