Joint Meeting Discusses Completing the Implementation of the Plan to Relocate Military Camps from Aden

A joint meeting was held today in the temporary capital, Aden, bringing together the local authority, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, and the General Staff to discuss coordination of efforts aimed at completing the implementation of the plan to relocate military camps and redeploy them outside the temporary capital, Aden.

The meeting was attended by the Adviser to the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, Major General Falah Al-Shahrani; the Assistant Ministers of Defense, Major General Mohammed Batays and Major General Saleh Mohammed Hassan; as well as heads and deputy heads of authorities and directors of military departments at the Ministry of Defense. This took place in the absence of the Director of Aden Security or any representatives from the Ministry of Interior.

Aden Governor Abdulrahman Sheikh emphasized the local authority’s commitment to making Aden a distinguished model that reflects its civil and cultural character. He praised the efforts of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the joint forces in completing the withdrawal of military camps according to the specified timelines and redeploying them to their new locations outside Aden Governorate.

For his part, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Ahmed Al-Basr, noted that the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff are making significant efforts to ensure the smooth redeployment of all military units outside the city of Aden.

Al-Basr called on all parties to support these efforts, which would help end military manifestations in the city and enable security agencies to carry out their duties in maintaining security and enhancing stability.
