The U.S. Mission to Yemen condemned the attack that targeted a military convoy belonging to the internationally recognized Yemeni government in the Ja’awala area north of the city of Aden, describing the attack as unjustified.
In a statement, the mission said it condemns the unjustified attack on a government military convoy north of Aden, expressing its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and their loved ones.
Earlier, Hamdi Shukri, a commander in the Al-Amaliqa (Giants) Forces, survived an explosion caused by a car bomb that had been parked on the side of the road in the Ja’awala area as his military convoy was passing through.
Shukri is considered one of the prominent leaders of the Al-Amaliqa Brigades and is responsible for tasks related to organizing the security and military files in the temporary capital, Aden.
