Governor of Hadramawt Appoints Director General for Tribal Affairs in the Valley and Desert Regions

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, issued Decree No. 21 of 2026 today, Tuesday, regarding the appointment of a Director General for the branch of the Tribal Affairs Authority in the Hadramawt Valley and Desert (Wadi and Sahara).

The decision was made based on Law No. 4 of 2000 regarding Local Authority and its executive regulations; Law No. 19 of 1991 regarding Civil Service and its executive regulations; Law No. 43 of 2005 regarding the Wages and Salaries System and its executive regulations; and Prime Ministerial Decree No. 149 of 2007 regarding appointments to public office, as required by the public interest.

The first article of the decree stipulated the appointment of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al-Tamimi as Director General of the Tribal Affairs Authority branch in the Hadramawt Valley and Desert.

The second article mandated that the decree be enacted from the date of its issuance, canceling any previous decisions that contradict it, and requiring all concerned and relevant authorities to take the necessary measures for its implementation.
