A republican decree was issued today conducting a “limited cabinet reshuffle” in the government of Yemeni Prime Minister Shayea Al-Zindani, appointing three ministers to the portfolios of Planning, Foreign Affairs, and Local Administration.
The decree stipulated the appointment of Engineer Badr Mohammad Mubarak Basalama as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Dr. Ahd Mohammad Salem Jassous as Minister of Local Administration.
The decision comes after reviewing the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Initiative and its Executive Mechanism, the Declaration of Transfer of Power and the Formation of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Cabinet Law, and the Republican Decree regarding the formation of the government and the naming of its members, based on the proposal of the Prime Minister and the approval of the Presidential Leadership Council.
Article Two of the decree stipulated that it shall be effective from the date of its issuance and published in the Official Gazette.
