Yemen Gas Company Sends 406 Trailers to Alleviate Gas Crisis in Aden and Liberated Governorates

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Yemen Gas Company has announced the sends of 406 gas trailers to the temporary capital, Aden, and several liberated governorates. This move is part of ongoing efforts to address supply bottlenecks and ensure the stability of domestic gas supplies in the local market.
The company clarified that its leadership worked in coordination with local authorities, as well as military and security leaders, to secure the passage of these trailers to various governorates. The goal is to ease the suffering of citizens and improve the overall supply level of cooking gas.
This intervention comes amidst a suffocating gas crisis that has gripped Aden for over 40 days. The shortage has caused a near-total paralysis of public transportation, as most buses have ceased operations due to the acute lack of gas. This has forced residents to rely on private transport at significantly higher costs.
Local residents have warned that the crisis will continue to escalate without urgent, long-term solutions. They emphasized that the repercussions are not limited to the transportation sector but have also created an increasing economic and social burden on the city and its inhabitants.
