Yemeni President: Saudi Support Bolsters Restoration of State Institutions

Head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, stated that the support announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people in restoring state institutions, and enhancing security, stability, and peace. He noted that the developmental projects announced today through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen represent a fundamental pillar for the recovery and reconstruction phase.

Al-Alimi added, during his meeting today with the Saudi Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, that the developmental projects will contribute to improving services and raising the standard of living, stressing that this reflects Saudi Arabia’s strong commitment to supporting the Yemeni state at all levels.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their continuous support to the Yemeni people and their political leadership under various circumstances.

This comes at a time when the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen announced the launch of a package of vital developmental projects with a total value of 1.9 billion Saudi Riyals. The package includes the implementation of 28 projects in ten Yemeni governorates, covering essential sectors.

The program clarified that these projects are part of ongoing efforts to enhance stability and development in Yemen, support the Yemeni people, and contribute to building strong infrastructure that drives the national economy toward recovery and prosperity.

The projects are distributed across the governorates of Aden, Hadramawt, Al-Mahrah, Socotra, Marib, Taiz, Lahj, Shabwah, Al-Dhale’, and Abyan, encompassing all vital sectors from health and water to transportation and infrastructure.
