“Nation’s Shield” Forces Deploy in the Interim Capital, Aden

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Units of the “Nation’s Shield” Forces began a large-scale deployment operation in the interim capital, Aden, on Thursday morning.
This deployment is part of a comprehensive military and security plan approved by the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), aimed at securing the city and protecting government institutions and sovereign facilities.
Local and military sources confirmed the arrival of initial military units that have already begun taking up positions in the streets of Aden. In a related development, additional military reinforcements and armored vehicles were spotted on the outskirts of Aden and on the main highway in Abyan Governorate, arriving from Shabwah Governorate.
Sources explained that there is organized, prior coordination between the “Nation’s Shield” forces and government troops to ensure the enhancement of stability and control over the security situation in the city.
This deployment follows the withdrawal of Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces—including the “Storm Forces” and the “Presidential Protection” units loyal to Aidarous al-Zubaidi—from all districts within Aden Governorate.
These field developments come in the wake of confirmed reports regarding al-Zubaidi leaving the country, traveling first to “Somaliland” and subsequently to the United Arab Emirates.
