Meeting Between the Two Vice Presidents of the STC in Riyadh After the Disappearance of “Al-Zubaidi” and His Removal from the Presidential Council

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
A meeting was held on Wednesday evening in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, between the two vice presidents of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Abdulrahman Al-Muharrami and Ahmed Saeed bin Breik.
Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath television channels, in their coverage of the meeting, avoided mentioning Abdulrahman Al-Muharrami’s capacity as a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, referring instead only to his roles within the STC.
According to media reports, the meeting discussed recent national developments and included an exchange of views on political, security, and service-related conditions.
The meeting also addressed preparations for the upcoming Southern–Southern Conference scheduled to be held in Riyadh in the coming period, and ways to ensure broad and effective participation from various southern components.
During the meeting, Al-Muharrami and bin Breik emphasized the importance of strengthening security and stability in the liberated governorates, working in a spirit of teamwork to normalize daily life, and improving the level of services provided to citizens, in a manner that reinforces security, stability, and public tranquility.
Both sides expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its support and assistance to Yemen, and for its role in sponsoring efforts aimed at unifying the southern ranks, hosting the Southern–Southern dialogue, reflecting its commitment to supporting dialogue, enhancing stability, and contributing to the coordination of positions in a way that serves the supreme national interest.
The meeting comes after the issuance of a republican decree removing Aidarous Al-Zubaidi from membership in the Presidential Leadership Council and referring him to the Public Prosecutor, amid accusations of violating the law, working to spread chaos, and being linked to the deaths of a number of soldiers.
Aidarous Al-Zubaidi has disappeared after failing to travel to Riyadh, where he had been scheduled to participate in the Southern–Southern dialogue. Developments reportedly changed after accusations were directed at him of distributing weapons to foment chaos in Aden.
