Governor of Hadramawt Reviews Service Updates and Efforts to Normalize Life Following Recent Events

The Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, held a meeting this Tuesday in the city of Al-Mukalla to discuss developments in public services and efforts to restore normalcy across the governorate’s districts.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Saleh Aboud Al-Omqi, along with several deputy governors and directors of vital service facilities.
The Governor reviewed detailed reports from deputies and executive office directors regarding the performance of service sectors in the recent period. These reports highlighted measures taken to ensure the continuity of essential services—specifically healthcare, water, electricity, public works, and education—while identifying key challenges and urgent needs required to support these sectors.
Participants discussed emergency measures and contingency plans implemented to safeguard vital facilities and prevent service interruptions. Officials emphasized the importance of coordination between the local authority and security/military institutions, while providing the necessary resources to overcome exceptional circumstances, alleviate citizen suffering, and accelerate recovery.
The Governor praised the role of the security and military apparatus, community committees, and citizens in protecting public and private property and confronting the looting and vandalism that had affected some government facilities. He described these actions as a testament to national awareness and responsibility.
Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi stressed the need to intensify efforts in the coming phase and prioritize urgent service interventions. He directed the deputies and executive directors to draft practical plans to address deficiencies and strengthen joint coordination to restore stability and normalize life in the districts of Hadramawt.
