Governor of Hadramawt Arrives in Mukalla to Normalize Situation and Bolster Stability

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Governor of Hadramawt, Salem Ahmed al-Khanbashi, arrived today, Monday, in the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramawt Governorate. This visit is part of his ongoing efforts to normalize public affairs and enhance security and stability throughout the province, following his arrival yesterday in the city of Seiyun, the urban center of Wadi Hadramawt.

Upon his arrival, the Governor emphasized the importance of preserving the national achievements that have been achieved and working to strengthen security and stability to help improve the living conditions and basic services for citizens. He stressed the necessity of unified efforts to ensure Hadramawt remains a model for security and coexistence.

Governor al-Khanbashi explained that his visit to Mukalla comes in the context of normalizing the situation in the governorate, gaining a closer look at the needs of the districts, and discussing ways to promote stability and development.

He noted that Hadramawt is entering a new phase characterized by tolerance and coexistence, the strengthening of partnerships between local authorities and the community, the activation of state institutions, and the elevation of services and development to serve citizens across all areas of the governorate.

Upon his arrival, the Governor was welcomed by a number of sheikhs and tribal leaders from the Seiban tribes in Al-Uyun area.

The Governor had reached the city of Seiyun this past Sunday, just days after the expulsion of Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces, following several weeks of their presence in the governorate.
