Yemeni Prime Minister Monitors Normalization of Situation in Hadramawt, Emphasizes Protection of Civilians and Services

Yemeni Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Buriek conducted a series of intensive communications with the Governor of Hadramawt and Chairman of the Security Committee, Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, as well as a number of executive and security officials within the local authority, to follow up on the normalization of the general situation in light of recent developments. He also sought to ensure the continuity of work in service and security institutions and the delivery of essential services to citizens.
During these communications, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of all parties shouldering their national responsibilities, prioritizing the public interest, and working in a spirit of teamwork to preserve public calm and the stability of the governorate—particularly following the successful operation to retake military camps in coordination with the leadership of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy. He emphasized the need to take all necessary measures to address any emergent shortcomings and to ensure that state institutions carry out their duties in serving citizens.
The Prime Minister also directed local authorities to fully carry out their legal responsibilities and to prevent any practices that could disrupt public order or harm citizens’ interests. He called for the implementation of the directives of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, regarding the protection of civilians, the safeguarding of public and private property, and respect for human rights, alongside firm deterrence against any violations and accountability for those responsible in accordance with the law. He further urged the swift resumption of flights via Seiyun Airport.
Prime Minister bin Buriek praised Saudi Arabia’s responsible role in supporting the stability of Hadramawt and backing state institutions. He stressed the necessity of putting emergency plans in place to ensure the continued operation of service and security sectors, meet citizens’ urgent needs, and alleviate their suffering, affirming the government’s full support for local authorities to ensure the success of efforts to normalize conditions and strengthen the performance of state institutions.
