EU Warns of Risks of Escalation in Hadramowt and Al-Mahra

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The European Union warned on Thursday of rising tensions in the governorates of Hadramowt and Al-Mahra in eastern Yemen.
EU spokesperson Anita Hipper stated that the Union calls on all parties to de-escalate and avoid any steps that could lead to destabilization in Yemen and the surrounding region.
She emphasized the European Union’s firm commitment to the unity and integrity of Yemen, while expressing clear support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate Yemeni government in their efforts to restore security and stability.
Hipper also noted the importance of international coordination to maintain Gulf stability, given the regional risks stemming from Yemen’s internal conflicts.
