Qatar and Kuwait Affirm Their Support for the Yemeni Government and Emphasize Yemen’s Unity and Gulf Security

Both the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait confirmed that they are closely following the developments and ongoing events in the Republic of Yemen, expressing their full and steadfast support for the legitimate Yemeni government. They emphasized the importance of preserving Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity, safeguarding the interests of the Yemeni people, and fulfilling their aspirations for security, stability, and development.
In separate statements, the foreign ministries of the two countries clarified that the security of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states is an inseparable part of their national security, stemming from the strong fraternal ties and shared destiny that bind the GCC countries. This reflects the unified Gulf stance on regional issues.
In this context, Qatar and Kuwait expressed appreciation for the statements and positions issued by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which reflect their commitment to prioritizing the interests of the region, supporting its stability, promoting principles of good neighborliness, and adhering to the foundations and values enshrined in the GCC Charter.
Both sides affirmed their support for all regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation, fostering dialogue, and adopting diplomatic solutions as the sole means to address crises. This, they noted, contributes to achieving security and stability and enhancing opportunities for peace in Yemen and the region.
Qatar and Kuwait reaffirmed their supportive stance toward all measures that preserve the security and stability of the region, protect the interests of its peoples, and foster joint work with brotherly nations and international partners to achieve the peoples’ aspirations for peace and sustainable development.
