Arab Coalition Announces Firm Action Against Military Movements Undermining De-Escalation Efforts in Hadramowt

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Joint Forces Command of the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced that it has taken immediate measures against any military movements that violate de-escalation efforts in Hadramawt Governorate, in order to protect civilians and maintain stability in the region.

The official spokesperson for the coalition forces, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, said that this step came in response to a request submitted by the Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, due to serious and shocking humanitarian violations committed by elements of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) against civilians in Hadramawt.

Al-Maliki added that the Saudi-Emirati coalition continues its joint efforts to withdraw the forces of the STC, hand over military camps to the Nation’s Shield Forces, and enable local authorities to carry out their duties freely. He stressed that any military movement that runs counter to these initiatives will be dealt with immediately to protect civilian lives and ensure the success of these efforts.

The spokesperson reaffirmed the coalition leadership’s unwavering support for Yemen’s legitimate government, calling on all parties to assume national responsibility, exercise restraint, and comply with peaceful efforts aimed at preserving security and stability in the governorate.

The Saudi Press Agency noted that these statements reflect the Coalition to Support Legitimacy’s commitment to de-escalation plans and to intensifying efforts to achieve sustainable peace in Yemen.
