Presidential Leadership Council member and Marib Governor Sultan Al-Arada praised on Wednesday the significant efforts being made by security agencies and units across the country to safeguard security and stability and protect state institutions and society.
During a broad meeting in Marib that included deputy interior ministers and security leaders from several governorates, Al-Arada stressed that the state cannot regain its strength without a strong, national security apparatus.
He underscored the need to increase vigilance, intensify efforts, and remain prepared to confront the challenges of the current phase, warning that the enemy exploits exceptional circumstances and operates through multiple means, including sleeper cells, infiltrations, media incitement, and assassinations.
Al-Arada instructed security agencies to shift from reactive measures to proactive, preventive strategies—intensifying the pursuit of sabotage cells, combating smuggling networks, and countering terrorism in all its forms. He noted that the political leadership is working to support the armed forces and security services.
He called for strengthening coordination and integration among security, military, and intelligence bodies, activating joint operations rooms, and updating information-gathering channels. He emphasized the importance of bolstering trust between citizens and security personnel and developing the technical and intelligence capabilities of security staff.
For his part, Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed Salem Aboud affirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing the directives of the political leadership and advancing efforts to enhance security performance and unit readiness.
