Houthis Continue Their Security Campaign Against International Organizations in Sana’a

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
Houthi security elements stormed the headquarters of the British organization “Oxfam” in Sana’a, detaining and interrogating a number of staff inside the premises in an operation that lasted about 12 hours.
The Houthi elements confiscated devices related to the organization’s communication systems, in addition to other assets, following a thorough search operation.
Yemeni journalist Fares Al-Himyari stated in a post that the raid coincided with a field visit by the organization’s mission head in Yemen, Ferran Puig, who is Spanish, to the branch headquarters in Hajjah Governorate, which had previously been stormed by the Houthis last October.
It is worth noting that the Houthis have been detaining two employees working in the Oxfam branch in Saada Governorate since June 2024. Sources indicated that the detainees were subjected to brutal torture in a prison in Saada before recently being transferred to a prison run by the Houthi “Security and Intelligence” apparatus in Sana’a.
